Your Schedule is What You Do

Do you ever get caught up in notifications, to do lists and calendars?

In this online mobile world of remote working, it is all too easy to get caught up in busy busy.

Tech companies love you to be engaged with their important notifications and software gadgets that all too easily steal your time and focus.

OLD WAYS

You could make a list of things to do in your day.

You could also have a bunch of booked meetings.

All valid.

The things to do should be everything for today including exercise, family, eat, learn, rest, shopping, family and friends. Not just work.

So how many lists have you got ?

Work list of tasks to do
Home and family list of things to do

If you have 4 then we start to have a problem.

Juggling between them. Overruns. Conflicts. Time demands.

ONE WAY

Why not make one list.

On the basis everything you will do takes time, why not one list in your calendar schedule.

Your schedule for today.

You commit your time to yourself, family, work and clients.

Everything else stays in the to do list. If you get spare time today, or when you can next schedule it.

Commit to your schedule and go from there. Nothing else matters other than to do as your schedule says today.
